Modern Korean Slang & Expressions
우울하다
uulhada
The concept
emo / 우울 — Feeling down
How Koreans say it
우울하다 = to feel down, gloomy, blue. Young Koreans also borrow the internet term '감성에 젖다' (to wallow in feels) or say they're feeling '센치하다' (sentimental). For the heavier, clinical sense it shades into 우울증 (depression).
