문지방 밟지 마
munjibang bapji ma
Don't step on thresholds
Korean superstitions still flavor daily speech: people warn 'don't step on the threshold,' said to invite bad luck, and avoid writing a living person's name in red ink, a color once tied to death. These small taboos are often half-believed but widely passed on.
