넵병
nepbyeong
The '넵' reply habit
넵병 ('넵 disease') is the workplace habit of reflexively replying 넵 — a peppier, more eager-sounding version of 네 ('yes') — to messages from bosses or colleagues. The extra ㅂ softens the tone and signals enthusiasm, even when one feels none.
