Korean Grammar Patterns
-ㄹ수록
Meaning
the more… the more
How to use it
Attaches to a verb/adjective stem to express that as the degree of one action or state increases, the other increases (or changes) correspondingly. It is frequently reinforced by -(으)면 before it, giving the common pattern -(으)면 -ㄹ수록 ('the more…, the more…'). It works with both verbs and adjectives.
Very common doubled: -(으)면 -ㄹ수록 (e.g. 보면 볼수록).,Irregular stems follow normal ㄹ rules (e.g. 살수록, 들을수록).
