理判(doctrine-monk) + 事判(affairs-monk): a Buddhist-origin pairing now meaning 'this board and that board,' i.e. the last extremity
What it really means
A do-or-die, all-or-nothing situation; throwing caution to the wind because there's nothing left to lose. Often as '이판사판이다' or '이판사판으로.'
