How to use it
Means 'suppose / let's say X is the case,' setting up a hypothetical for the sake of argument. Verbs/adjectives take -다고 치다, nouns -(이)라고 치다, commands -(으)라고 치다. Often -다고 쳐(도) 'even supposing.'
-다고 쳐도 = 'even if we grant that…',Sets aside truth to test consequences hypothetically.
