Meaning
claiming to / supposedly (mocking)
How to use it
Attaches to a clause to report someone's claim or self-justification that the speaker finds unconvincing, foolish, or annoying. It carries a mocking, critical tone: the person did something 'supposedly' for a reason, but the result was inadequate or ridiculous. The subject is usually a third person or the listener, and it is informal/colloquial.
Nouns and adjectives take -(이)랍시고; verbs take -ㄴ/는답시고.,Always carries the speaker's disapproval — never neutral.
