Korean Grammar Patterns

-ㄹ게 not -ㄹ께

Meaning

Promise ending spelling

How to use it

The first-person promise/intention ending is spelled -ㄹ게 (e.g. 갈게, 할게), even though it is pronounced [께]. Writing -ㄹ께 is a common spelling error. The same holds for -ㄹ걸, -ㄹ수록 etc.: spell with ㄱ, not ㄲ.

Pronounced tense [께] but written soft ㄱ.,Rule extends to -ㄹ걸, -ㄹ세라, -ㄹ수록.
